Sympathy cards can be tricky to make ...you need to strike the balance between being not too somber, but not too cheerful either. I think this image from the Thoughtful Journey DSP is just perfect. My base card is the new Basic Beige cardstock. It works really well with the colours in this paper and is softer than a stark white. I think I'll be using it a lot! It reminds me a bit of the old Sahara Sand. I've already used the sentiments from the new Unbounded Love stamp set a lot. They're a great size and a lovely font. I recommend getting the bundle - the dies co-ordinate with all the words, but they'll also work with lots of other sets you already own. I've kept the embellishment on this card to a minimum - just some Linen Thread and a few Iridescent Foil Gems. Last week I was able to introduce the 2024-2026 In Colors to my stampers at my monthly class. I think they were overall well received and people seemed to like that they were brighter and more cheerful than the 2023-2025 set which are definitely more muted. I designed one of the class projects so that they could choose one of the new In Colors to work with. I didn't take a photo of each of the other colors but just imagine the exact same card just with the other In Colors. This one is showcasing Peach Pie with a Peach Pie base, then a layer of the 2024-2026 In Color DSP with the same color stitched ribbon tied around it. Using the arched heart die and a Stylish Shape circle the hearts are cut from the top. Then a piece of Peach Pie cardstock is placed behind the heart cut outs. The circle is then popped on dimensionals. The little hamster (or as one of my customers pointed out a quokka) is stamped in Pecan Pie ink onto Crumb Cake cardstock. We used a Pecan Pie and Melon Mambo colored pencils and a blender brush to give the little cutie some color. Then he's die cut and popped on the circle with dimensionals. The sentiment is stamped in Basic Gray under the strip of DSP. It was fun to see which colors my customers gravitated towards. All of the products used to make this card can be purchased in my ONLINE STORE. Thanks for looking! Did you stamp today? Stamps: Hearts & Hugs Ink: Pecan Pie, Basic Gray Paper: Peach Pie, Basic White, 2024-2026 In Color DSP, Crumb Cake Accessories: Hearts & Hugs dies, Stylish Shapes dies, dimensionals, Peach Pie Stitched ribbon, colored pencils, blender pen

This post will be photo heavy and I hope it will offer some inspiration to you. Scroll down for the show and tell video sharing some teaching tips and a couple more of the samples I made. I am REALLY excited that we got to choose punch or dies with two of the stamp sets (spoiler I chose punches with both!) What about you? This card made with Labelled with Love was super simple to create. I love how the Pretty in Pink and Summer Splash co-ordinate. Next we have Spotlight on Nature. We created the ver simple easel card. The use of Basic Beige is a bit washed out in this photo but see below for the ones I created for display Do you like this new colour? In theory Basic Beige sounds unexciting but I LOVE it. Zoom in to see the detail that I got using our gorgeous stamps both on the white layers and tone on tone to create the background elements. And now on to my Tune in Samples. I just LOVE LOVE LOVE this fun retro stamp set and made a selection of samples using it. If you are of a certain age and from the UK, you will see I created one with a BBC test card effect! Today's Create With Stamping Friends Saturday Hop theme is our favorite new catalog bundle! Right now my fave is the Wildflower Designs bundle. I love the dainty little flowers and the sentiments, and the dies that coordinate! I also love the Wildly Flowering DSP that is part of that suite. You know I do love me some blue! The elongated hexagonal frame was die cut from Night of Navy, and all the stamping was done with Night of Navy, as well. It just coordinates so beautifully with the Misty Moonlight DSP. The flower was stamped on a scrap of Basic White, and then stamped again without re-inking on the inner hexagon for a misty effect. After die-cutting the flower, it was colored with Daffodil Delight Stampin Blends and a baker's twine bow (colored with the same blend) was tied before popping it up on dimensionals. A simple fussy cut greeting finished the card. That's all for today - see you next Saturday! Up next is Libby Fens at Libby Stamps. Today's Create With Stamping Friends Saturday Hop theme is a neutral palette; whites, grays, ivorys, browns or black. I chose browns for this card - Basic Beige and Early Espresso. The floral image was stamped in Early Espresso on Basic Beige cardstock and "colored" with Clear Wink of Stella. The W.O.S. picked up the ink from the stamped image like using a Water Painter, adding subtle shimmer, as well. I love the circle dies in the Spotlight on Nature bundle! I think they're going to be used a lot in the near future. That's all for today - see you next Saturday! Up next is Libby Fens at Libby Stamps.
