A beautifully hand painted and gilded vintage, late 20th centry Zhongguo Jingdezhen Zhi famille-rose dessert plate, made in Jingdezhen, China. In excellent used condition see photos. Psyche Studios designed whimsical glassware in the mid 20th century, and was known for playful Mid Century Modern designs. Psyche studios production was far less than other mid-century studios, making their collectability and demand greater! This is a complete set of 8 vintage glasses. These beautiful glasses are clear to cranberry with wonderful gold gilding. The glasses are adorned with black, lilac, and gold gilt designs. and Each glass has subtle variations in the application of the gilding. These glasses stand 5 5/8" tall, have a 3" rim, and hold 12 oz of fluid. These glasses are in wonderful vintage condition, with no chips, cracks, or signs of repair. The gold gilding is crisp and brilliant, with no noticeable wear. These glasses show no sign of the dreaded dishwasher! Each glass is signed in gold gilding with the Psyche Studios mark. Please see the provided pictures, they are an important part of the description of these glasses. Pay special attention to the final photograph, which shows the transition from clear to cranberry on the base. J. Reinemann Figurine. Antique German Beer Stein with Lid. View from Munich: 1900's. This antique German beer stein "Munich Child" was made in the late 19th - early 20th century by J. Reinemann. It measures approximately 5.5" x 2.75" and is hallmarked Geserzlich Geshültz J. Reinemann München. The item is in very good, used, original condition. Wear is consistent with age and use. There are no cracks or chips on the item.
Jim Beam, one of America’s oldest and most iconic bourbon brands, ventured into the decanter market in the mid-20th century. The first Jim Beam decanters were introduced in 1955 by the Beam Company and were produced in ceramic stoneware by Regal China until 1992. These decanters were initially designed not only for their aesthetic appeal but also for their functional purpose of storing bourbon. Their unique shapes and detailed designs quickly made them collector’s items. Jim Beam Decanters are more than just containers for bourbon; they are a piece of American history and craftsmanship. The Regal China Company was founded around 1930 by Herman Kravitz in Chicago. Herman immediately hired Catherine Miller as a decorator designer which would prove to be a wise decision. C. Miller designed several pottery designs that grabbed the attention of distiller James Beam. Beam started using Regal China as their bottle maker in 1955. In 1968 the company became a part of the James (Jim) Beam Distilling Company. Regal China and C. Miller created some of the most exciting and amazing designs for Beam's decanter campaign and had a long 62-year run but closed down in 1992. Vintage Austrian Baitz composition whistling Doll dressed as Mozart. He dates to the early half of the 20th century. The face is painted and the hair is mohair which is fixed to the composition head. Measures approx. 9" high.
