I have had so much fun creating these cards with the new Hey Girlfriend stamp set for the Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop. There is a group of talented bloggers highlighting some of the new products being offered in the new Mini Catalog January-June 2021 and the Sale-a-bration Catalogs for this month's Stampin' Dreams Hop. I also used some new Blackberry Bliss Striped Ribbon, a Heart Charm, and some Pastel Pearls. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 This card uses the same Oh So Ombre DSP, I even used the paper for her dress! Now y'all know I'm not one to blend with two shades a ton. I love to use my blending markers to just color one layer, but rarely take the time it takes to make gorgeous, blended projects with them. I have friends like Elizabeth Mayfield-Hart and Erica Cerwin who can make magic with them, but I'm more quick and dirty with em. Dang! When I saw this card in the Stampin' Up catalog I knew I had to try it, and I am pleased with the results! I got together with the leaders of my team and did a catalog case swap. We copied cards straight from the gorgeous Occasions Catalog and this one was a challenge, but a stunner. I used the new Humming Along bundle with the stamps and framelits and NEW Balmy Blue and Mossy Meadow blends combo packs. The Stampin' Blends colors I used were Smoky Slate (annual catalog), Mossy Meadow(Occasions Catalog), Balmy Blue (Occasions Catalog) and Pumpkin Pie (annual catalog) blends bundles Did you see that pockety framelit? that's what I used to make the holes in the watercolor paper. I used a shim to make it cut all the way through. Worth it, don't you think? I did a watercolor wash with Balmy Blue on the watercolor layer. You better bet I also used my magnetic platform to BigShot those suckers since I spent many minutes coloring each one! Don't forget the other stunner in the set, the hibiscus. Is that a hibiscus? Hi everyone, sharing a set of cards I made using 3 pieces of the 6" x 6" Dandy Garden Designer Series Paper and other products from the Dandy Garden Suite available in the January-June 2021 Mini Catalogue. I ended up making 8 cards from the 3 pieces of patterned paper. I chose a colour combination of Mossy Meadow, Bumblebee and Whisper White. This card uses one of the elements from the Dandy Laser-Cut Paper pack which I layered the sentiment onto. This card also uses some of the elements from the Dandy Laser-Cut Paper which I have tucked behind the sentiment panel. I made 2 of these cards and the card sketch is a great one for using small pieces of patterned paper. Stamping the butterflies with Bumblebee ink on the Whisper White background broke up with large expanse of white space. You could emboss this piece if you wanted but I decided to do a little stamping instead. The Designer Series Paper either side of the centre panel is only two small pieces either side, it is not a large piece that goes across the card front. I had a small piece of Designer Series Paper 5.2cm x 6.4cm in size so decided to cut it in half lengthwise and use a piece either side of the centre panel. You would never know that it was made from a scrap piece of patterned paper. Just like magic. This is a card sketch that I have used before and I just love. I made 3 of these cards. This card layout is great if you are doing a class or wanting to make a lot of the same cards. Hope you enjoyed seeing these cards using the Dandy Garden Suite. I have been having more fun playing with the Darling Donkeys Sale-a-bration stamp set. You can see the first card I made with this set by clicking on the photo below. They are such happy looking donkeys and really fun to colour. For the first card I coloured the donkeys with Blends Markers in Crumb Cake and Soft Suede and a tiny bit of Flirty Flamingo. Once they were coloured I carefully fussy cut both donkeys. The hills were cut using one of the dies from the Quite Curvy Bundle in Old Olive and Pear Pizzazz. One the front hill I heat embossed one of the greetings from the Quite Curvy Bundle. The small 'It's your birthday' is from the Darling Donkeys stamp set. To make the clouds I used a new tool coming in the Jan to June Mini Catalogue, Blending Brushes! Yay, I'm very excited that Stampin' Up! have added these brushes to our range. The stencil for the clouds was cut from the Happy Dies.I will be back later this week with a video to demonstrate how these brushes work. He's such a cutey. This set is going to be very well used, I love it. For the next card I used the third donkey from this stamp set. When I stamped the donkey on Whisper White I masked the flower so that it did not stamp because I wanted to add a balloon instead. The balloon is from the Happy Dies and was cut from Rainbow Glimmer paper, another current favourite product. I hand drew the string for the balloon with a Black Stampin' Write Marker. This donkey was coloured with Smoky Slate Markers and a tiny bit of Flirty Flamingo for inside his ears. The panel on the left side of the card was done using the Baby Wipe technique with Granny Apple Green, Pacific Point and Bermuda Bay. I coloured white Crushed Seam Binding with a Granny Apple Green Blends Marker to co ordinate with the balloon. I hope you love this stamp set as much as I do.
