Hello there and welcome to 2020 on the blog! The Just Add Ink team are kicking off the new year with our annual blog hop. It is extra special this year as we are celebrating 10 years and 1000 followers for the Just Add Ink challenges! You may have come from Denita's blog, be starting the blog hop here on my blog, or you can go to Just Add Ink, and then follow the links at the end of each team members blog post on to the next. This year the theme is very appropriately 'Celebrate!'. So many joyful occasions can fall under that theme. For me the first big family event of the year is my daughters birthday, so birthday card it is. I had a blogging break at the end of the last year, and was a bit worried I might be rusty, but the sheer enjoyment of playing with new stuff (TimelessTropical in particular, which ironically was not my first pick from the new SU! mini catalogue) and colouring made putting this card together easier than expected. It really is all about the colouring! I stamped my images in a very light ink and then used SU! Blends (alcohol markers) to no line colour the flowers. I should really have taken step-by-step photos as for most of the process honestly they look pretty ordinary and then at the end the multiple layers of ink, blend and end up looking finished. So my best tip for alcohol marker colouring is to persist and keep adding layers of colour and contrast. Jan McQueen is next on the blog hop, so please go on and check out her fantastic project, and then to the rest of the team. Then come back and join in the challenge we'd love to see your 'Celebrate' project. The more I play with the Timeless Tropical stamp set, the more I like it. I love the 50's-Hawaiian -surfer vibe it has. The co-ordinating products are lots of fun too. The Coastal Weave embossing folder is getting a lot of use, and I love the Braided Burlap Trim too. I used Pool Party for my background panel, and coloured the hibiscus and frangipanis with Blends. Hi everyone, sharing the last of my projects using the Dandy Garden 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper Pack and the Dandy Garden Memories & More Cards & Envelopes. I actually ran out of the Cards and Envelopes so the first card is on a Basic White cardbase. I love the background on the The Memories & More Cards, perfect coordination with the Dandy Garden Designer Series Paper. The sentiments are from the Peaceful Moments stamp set and the stamp set from the Hello Dear Friend card kit. That is one thing I really like about the card kits, once you have made all the projects in the kit you have the stamp set that you can use over and over again. I have really enjoyed creating with the Dandy Garden Designer Series Paper pack and the Dandy Garden Memories & More Cards & Envelopes. Hope you enjoyed these projects. Thank you for visiting. Hello and welcome to my Timeless Tropical Card blog post! I love anything related to Pineapple's and had to have the Tropical Oasis Suite as soon as I received the January to June Mini Catalogue. Today we are experiencing torrential rain which is such a blessing after the heat and the fires that have burned for most of our summer. One of the fires in my area was finally declared out last night. This fire has burnt for 74 days and burnt out 499,621 hectares. 312 homes destroyed and 173 damaged. It sounds like a lot but when you compare that to the amount that were saved we are so grateful to our NSW Fire Service and those that came and helped put out these fires from around the globe. So today as I sit and create I am thinking of being in a beautiful tropical oasis sipping on a cocktail from a Pineapple. Probably a Pina Colada or Mango Daiquiri 🍸 I have used a Whisper White card base measuring 29.7cm x 10.5cm scored and folded in half. I cut a piece of Whisper White to 10.2cm x 14.6cm. Cut a piece of the Tropical Oasis Designer Series Paper to measure 10cm x 14.2cm. I glued the Whisper White and DSP layers together with glue. I then wrapped the Braided Burlap Trim around the bottom third of this layer securing with glue dots and popped this layer up on the crd base using dimensionals. I stamped the Umbrella in the Saddle Brown Stazon™ Ink on a piece of whisper white and punched it out with the umbrella Builder Punch. I also cut an extra umbrella handle out in Whisper White for the straw. I Also stamped the Frangipani image from the Timeless Tropical stamp set in Saddle Brown Stazon™Ink on a piece of Whisper White card stock. Then die cut it using the corresponding die form the In The Tropics Dies. I coloured both images in using the Stampin' Blends listed below. I used the Balmy Blue Stampin' Write Marker in a diagonal stripe down the straw. I also cut two leaf images from the In The Tropics Dies. I die cut the Pineapple in both Daffodil Delight and Old Olive card stock. I also hand cut Daffodil Delight piece of card stock to the size of the Pineapple shape. I glued these three layers together with the Old Olive Pineapple offset then cut to fit the middle layer. I then ran this through the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder to create a rough look to the Pineapple. I cut a piece of Whisper White to measure 7.8cm x 10.8cm. I also cut one of the Stitched Scallop Rectangles from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies in Whisper White. I stamped the sentiment from the Timeless Tropical stamp set in Saddle Brown Stazon™ Ink at the bottom of the Stitched Scallop Rectangle. Then arranged the Pineapple, umbrella and Frangipani on the top using glue and dimensionals. I popped this Stitched Scallop Rectangle up on the slightly larger Whisper White piece using dimensionals. I then popped this up on the top of the DSP using dimensionals. There are quite a few popped up layers on this card but the finished card looks great with this amount of dimension. I hope you are having a good day today and perhaps enjoying some creative time yourself! Take care!

SUUUUUPER exciting news! For tomorrow only (Dec. 11th) Stampin' Up is offering free shipping on all orders of $50 or more (pre-tax/shipping)! They rarely do this, so NOW is the time to get those items on your wish list, or to stock up on essentials like cardstock, adhesive, ink refills, etc. Or, perhaps something from the YEAR END CLOSEOUT before it's gone! Either way, don't miss out on this savings opportunity, and if your under is under $150, I'd be ever so grateful if you use the Host Code BUUDM6H9 when prompted. Now on to my card: Timeless Tropical is one of the new cling stamp sets that will be available starting January 3rd in the Jan-Jun Mini Catalog (formerly know as Occasions Catalog). It has coordinating In The Tropics Dies, which I didn't have when I made this card, so I fussy-cut the blooms. I have those dies now! I stamped the greeting and leaves on the background and embossed with the Subtle folder. It was then layered on a Garden Green mat and adhered to the card base. The Plumeria bloom was glued to the card front, and the Hibiscus was popped up on dimensionals.

Good Afternoon and welcome to another Freshly Brewed Projects Blog Hop. This week we are all sharing projects from our Favourite Suite from the new Annual Catalogue. Surprisingly, mine is now Forever
Welcome to another Creative Showcase with the Art With Heart Team. This month we are featuring Masculine themed projects. We have many masculine themed products in the Stampin’ Up! range including Stamp Sets and coordinating Dies, Designer Series Papers, Embellishments and Embossing Folders. Art With Heart Team have a wonderful selection of projects to inspire you to create Masculine Masterpieces I’ve created three cards using the Tropical Oasis Suite which is from the 2020 Mini Catalogue. I just adore the retro tropical images, the DSP, Coastal Weave Embossing Folder, Braided Burlap Trim and there is so much more in the suite. My cards are based on the colours used in the DSP, I've used Soft Suede, Pretty Peacock, Pool Party, Old Olive, Pear Pizzazz and Crumb Cake. These colours say masculine to me. I’ve created my own palm tree DSP in Pretty Peacock with Ink and Cardstock. Layered over the embossed Cardstock in Pretty Peacock using the Coastal Weave 3D Embossing Folder and then I ran the ink pad over the embossed piece, giving it more definition. The Stitched So Sweetly Dies are also from the Mini Catalogue, I’ve used the larger die and sponged Pretty Peacock Ink on the edges. I like to add many different elements and textures to finish off my card. This card I’ve created using the Petina Technique, I started off sponging Ink in Pool Party, Pretty Peacock, Soft Suede onto a piece of Whisper White Cardstock. I’ve embossed it with the Coastal Weave 3D Embossing Folder, dab it with Versamark and heat embossed it with Copper Stampin' Emboss Powder. The added layers for the card are from the Timeless Tropical Bundle, Tropical Oasis DSP, Tropical Oasis Trinkets and Braided Burlap Trim. They are all layered over the Stitched So Sweetly Die in Soft Suede. I had also lightly sponged ink onto the tropical flower and leaves. The last card is using the Tropical Oasis Memories & More Card Pack I’ve used one of the larger card fronts, softly sponged Crumb Cake Ink onto the card and layered on top of Soft Suede card base. The Stitched So Sweetly Dies are used again, but this time I’ve used two of them. One is in Soft Suede, the other in Crumb Cake and sponging ink to each of the die cut pieces. Layering a few more items from the suite and then you’ve completed another card. As you can see that by using the same suite, plus a few other items from the Mini Catalogue the ideas are endless for a masculine card. The next demonstrator to share their Masculine project with you is the very talented Catherine Proctor If you have a broken link or have come to this blog hop midway, you can view all the participants below: Christina Barnes Kate Morgan Andrea Sargent Sharon Davern Tina Gillespie Vicki Boucher Catherine Proctor Rachel Woollard Rebecca Jacovou Sujatha Harding Michele Taylor Caroline Manwaring Product List Stamps: Timeless Tropical and Label Me Bold Dies: In the Tropics and Stitched So Sweetly Cardstock/Paper: Pretty Peacock, Soft Suede, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Whisper White and Tropical Oasis Designer Series Paper Ink: Soft Suede, Pretty Peacock, Pool Party, Old Olive, Pear Pizzazz and Crumb Cake Colouring Tools: Sponge Daubers, Heat Tool and Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder Other Stampin’ Up!
