One important thing that I must mention is that as I was doing some shopping at Office Depot, I was ecstatic when I saw that they carried a pack of Post It Notes that matched the new In-Colors! I remade a longtime favorite project last night on Facebook Live. I have always loved these little favors, and they look fabulous with papers and trims from this year's Annual Catalog. I have used the following papers - Come Sail Away, Mosaic Mood, and Magnolia Lane. The base of the purse is a 6" square of designer paper. The single piece of designer paper is folded to create a pouch. As you can see, you can fill these with candy, but they are also perfect for lip balm, gift cards, or other small gifts. Big excitement at my house today! My box of Premier Product Purchases arrived in time for Easter! There were many things in the box but the first thing I got out and played with were the new In-Colour inks and card. I had to try them out ASAP. So here's some quick note cards / gift tags I made to try out each colour. As an added bonus, I also got to have a go with the new set, Good Morning Magnolia. The sentiment and tiny magnolia flower are from it. I'm sure I'll be showing you more of them in the near future. This new DSP is absolutely stunning nice floral colours Blushing Bride Crushed Curry Garden Green Mint Macaron Soft Suede Terracotta Tile Very Vanilla Whisper White We got this DSP as a freebie at Onstage in April 2019 I didnt manage to get but my lovely upline collected all my goodies and sent them to me so I got my gorgeous paper and couldnt wait to play with it. I have been working with Kylie Bertucci's love it chop it idea and cutting down your DSP so it is ready to work with and no fear of chopping it down and using it. I took 1 sheet of each design and chopped them down to 14.9cm x 10.5cm so you get 6 portions from each 12 x 12 fantastic then the other 12 x 12 I keep whole for 3d projects or for like the roses DSP I chopped them out my full size sheet, I just love how versatile DSP can be. anyway here are some cards I made using this DSP. If you’re a regular visitor (and, if you are, thank you!), then you’ll know I’m a sucker for a woodland theme. My craft stash is bulging with woodland-themed products – and, with the new Autumn/Winter catalogue, my collection just got a whole lot bigger. The Nature’s Beauty stamp set was sure to end up on my list – and finding out that £2.50 from every sale goes to mental health charities in the UK was a bonus. This is one of the projects we made at Crafty Friday last week. Along with the stamp set, I used the new Beautiful Boughs Dies and the Woodland Embossing Folder. I stamped the fox first, then masked with a sticky note before stamping the foliage around him in Gray Granite. The stark white theme is enhanced with a splash of silver, which echoes the Gray Granite (my silver ink pad isn't due to arrive until today!) and really helps the Cajun Craze fox to stand out.

Hello there and welcome to 2020 on the blog! The Just Add Ink team are kicking off the new year with our annual blog hop. It is extra special this year as we are celebrating 10 years and 1000 followers for the Just Add Ink challenges! You may have come from Denita's blog, be starting the blog hop here on my blog, or you can go to Just Add Ink, and then follow the links at the end of each team members blog post on to the next. This year the theme is very appropriately 'Celebrate!'. So many joyful occasions can fall under that theme. For me the first big family event of the year is my daughters birthday, so birthday card it is. I had a blogging break at the end of the last year, and was a bit worried I might be rusty, but the sheer enjoyment of playing with new stuff (TimelessTropical in particular, which ironically was not my first pick from the new SU! mini catalogue) and colouring made putting this card together easier than expected. It really is all about the colouring! I stamped my images in a very light ink and then used SU! Blends (alcohol markers) to no line colour the flowers. I should really have taken step-by-step photos as for most of the process honestly they look pretty ordinary and then at the end the multiple layers of ink, blend and end up looking finished. So my best tip for alcohol marker colouring is to persist and keep adding layers of colour and contrast.
