On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.” Matthew 22:35-40 Reflection Sometimes Jesus taught with parables and stories which the hearer needed to interpret. This teaching through stories often confounded those who listened out of selfish curiosity or sinister motives. They couldn’t understand why he was talking about things like lost coins, scattered seeds, and houses being blown down in a storm.
