Kayli Wouters, a dedicated staff writer at Reef Protect, spent three transformative months volunteering with the Marine Megafauna Foundation (MMF) in Nusa Lembongan, Indonesia. During her time as a research intern, she engaged in vital activities such as studying the habitat and behavior of reef manta rays, contributing to a global database, and advocating for marine conservation. This hands-on experience not only fueled her passion for marine conservation but also equipped her with invaluable skills in data collection, underwater photography, and public speaking, which she now brings to her role at Reef Protect.
