It's recognizable in the tall back, strong uprights and the use of wood, typical of the furniture designed for his prairie houses. Created for the dining room of Frederick C. Robie's house in 1908, Wright aimed to define and create a more intimate area around the dining table. The seat is upholstered with the original black leather. Frank Lloyd Wright (1867-1959) developed a cohesive vision of architecture and design. His visionary creations showcase natural materials in their original state, fostering an eco-friendly design. He emphasized craftsmanship while embracing technology’s ability to make design accessible to all. Apart from his revolutionary buildings, he created furnishings and other custom elements. Our atelier carefully checked the chairs. All the signs and imperfections on the surface are natural leather features, enhancing the material's natural beauty.
