The share of yarn was 43 per cent in total textile exports of $7.118 billion from the country. In terms of material, cotton products dominated textile exports from India with a share of 64.79 per cent, followed by MMF with a share of 27.03 per cent during the six-month period.According to Fibre2Fashion’s market insight tool TexPro, yarn export was $3.061 billion in January-June 2022 which accounted 43 per cent of the total export. Fabric export was $2.449 billion (34.41 per cent) in same period. Fibre export was valued at $1.607 billion (22.59 per cent) during the period under review.Another analysis based on the type of material shows that cotton textile exports dominated in the list. Cotton textiles export was $4.611 billion in January-June 2022, which was 64.79 per cent of the total textile exports. Man-made textiles constituted $1.924 billion during the period, which contributed 27.03 per cent in the total export. The export of true hemp textiels was $186.578 million (2.62 per cent), wool/animal hair $66.809 million (0.94 per cent) and others $210.463 million (2.96 per cent) in the total textile export in the same period.Yarn topped among textile export products from India in first half of 2022.
