As the Order of Friars Preachers meets in Rome to elect the 86th Successor of St Dominic, as Master of the Order, on Sunday 5 September 2010, please pray for us. This photo is a detail of the reliquary of St Dominic, which is usually housed in the Dominican nuns' convent of Sta Maria del Rosario in Rome. The reliquary enshrines a part of the cranium of St Dominic de Guzman, founder of the Order of Preachers.
