I was running errands few weeks ago when I spotted this curbside find. It was sitting on top of a pile of broken furniture. It had pieces of broken mirror still stuck to it... it looked like it was part of a vanity table or something. I wasn't sure what I would do with it... and almost left it there, but something told me to bring it home. I washed it down with bleach water and let it dry in the sun. First I thought I would turn it into a chalkboard or a vision board... those ideas did not excite me so I let it sit around for a while... then I had a vision, and mumbled under my nose "how about a headboard" loved that idea and started working on it right away. Here is the before picture. I removed the bottom trim and saved it for another project. I stapled the drop cloth inside the frame, then used a 3inch thick sponge on the back of the fabric, then closed the back with a piece of wood, same size as the opening. I'm not going to keep this so I will take it to the next show. I also painted the hand crafted glass cabinet found at a yard sale and the chair next to the bed. I hand painted a few lovely pink roses, distressed it a bit and finished it with a light stain. Thank you so much for your visit. Wishing you a lovely day. With love always, Angela.
