Winner – USA Runner-up – Mexico 12 team tournament The 2007 Gold Cup saw another change to the entrants in the tournament as the practice of inviting teams from outside the confederation to compete ended. Instead, an extra place was given to the 4th place team in the Caribbean Cup and the 5th place team in the UNCAF Nations Cup, giving more nations the chance to qualify for CONCACAF’s premier international tournament.
