A pair of earrings inspired by patterns of Icelandic knitted shoe inserts. I recreated a pattern from one of the exhibits I saw at the National Museum Of Iceland in Reykjavik. In the old days wool shoe inserts were worn in soft shoes made of sheep and fish skin for extra comfort and warmth. These earrings are my own, unique way of preserving the traditional folk pattern. They are made of small glass beads and the ear studs are made of sterling silver.
