Photo etched image paper size 12cmx12cm. I love allotments - the beautiful ordered chaos. My garden is my allotment - unapologetically chaotic and whilst productive with red currants and gooseberries, chard and rocket, I have wild areas for wild life and several compost heaps of leaf and cuttings from the hedges. These compost heaps when regularly turned are a good source of worms and other insects for ground feeding birds. Robins, particularly, appear when I've barely put the spade down. So this is one of a series of photo etchings about - allotments. Photo etchings use photographic techniques to transfer my pen and ink wash drawing into an image on the metal plate that is then inked up as an etched plate. The size stated is the paper size.
