This creation took 2 years of intermittently working on it to complete! I wanted to capture the intensity of the stance in this picture, and did so by using 3/4 inch square finished blocks to create a pixelated effect when viewed up close, but you see the entire image from far away! There are 19,600 squares total in this quilt that have been sewn in a grid format to create this overall picture. Think cross-stitch using high quality cotton fabrics! This would make a great statement piece to display and know that it was handcrafted with diligence! All my quilts use Heirloom Batting which is 80% cotton 20% Polyester. This batting provides a nice loft, while also having the breathability of cotton, and the long wear last of polyester. The binding is hand sewn, and the Long-Arm Quilting designs are custom to each project and done by Jil Mistic. Washing and Care: All of my projects use high quality cotton and minky fabrics that are safe to spot treat and won’t run when washed. To increase the longevity of the quilt, I recommend washing in cold water, and tumble drying on low, however they can withstand warm temp washing and drying as well!
