Upon discovering ants sneaking inside from my deck and beelining to my Monstera, I decided to get rid of the soil and repot because I didn’t love the idea of ants in my house. Here’s how I went about it: • I waited until I had recently watered the plant so it would be less of a shock • I tried to be super gentle with the roots. I think of it as running my hands through my hair, trying to break as little as possible. • I rinse off the roots and plant to get rid of any hiding ants.
