On Sept. 27, 2009, Des Moines will celebrate the grand opening of Pappajohn Sculpture Park. Guarding the park and towering three-stories tall is Nomade, created by Spanish sculptor Jaume Plensa. This piece was donated to the new park from the private collection of John and Mary Pappajohns. Originally, Nomade debuted in the Musee Riviera where the Papajohns purchased him. The Pappajohns have worked with a team of experts to create an outdoor mastery of art and design to delight one and all. Sept. 27th will be a grand day, indeed! Welcome Nomade!
