Hello again, my friends!! I’m back again today to share another project featuring two of the new February Release Products that are soooo stinkin’ cute that I just can’t even imagine that you won’t love them as much as I do! The new For the Record Stamp Set and the Turntable Die-Namics are really fun and easy to assemble! I die cut the parts of the Turntable Die-Namics from Black Licorice, Poppy, Smooth White, and Brushed Silver Card Stock. I stamped the sentiment from the For the Record Stamp Set, and then assembled the turntable – easy peasy! I love the clean and simple look of this card, yet it still has a ton of interest! And the sentiments in the For the Record Stamp Set are perfectly sweet and punny, and great for men or women, young or old! I’ve listed and linked all of the products that I used on this project below. Please click on through to the MFT Design Blog to be linked to the other fabulous projects that my teammates have created for your inspiration! Hi everyone! Happy Thursday! It's time for the February MFT Birthday Project Challenge! This month, the challenge is to use numbers in your design! SO fun!! I LOVE this challenge! It was the perfect opportunity to make my Nani her Birthday Card! My Nani, who is AMAZING, will be turning 100, yes, 100, in April! I sure hope she likes this! I began with a panel of Smooth White Card Stock cut using the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX 2 Die-namics, and sponged on Picked Raspberry, Wild Honey, Twisted Citron, Peacock Feathers and Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide Inks. I then stamped the panel using the Happy Birthday Background using Versamark Ink, and then heat embossed the panel with white embossing powder. This little cutie was cut from No-Line Coloring Card Stock using the Cupcake Day Die-namics. I stamped her with Cupcake Day using Extreme Black Hybrid Ink and then colored her with Copic Markers. I added her to the background panel, popping her up with foam tape. The balloons were cut from Smooth White Card Stock using the Balloon Numbers Die-namics, and I inked up the numbers using more Distress Oxide Inks. I added baker's twine to each balloon, popped them up with foam tape, and then placed the twine behind her hand. LOVE. I finished the card with a trio of enamel dots. Thanks SO much for stopping by! Please head over to the MFT Challenge Blog to check out what the rest of the team has created, and to play along!
Hello my loves!! I’m back again today with TWO projects featuring several of the new February Release products!! There's lots of pictures, so I hope you stick with me!! My first project was inspired by a video that Jennifer McGuire did several months ago showing the Peek-A-Boo Card Technique. I thought the Oh My Gostrich Stamp Set would be perfect for this technique, and I really wanted to try it! I also used the new Card-Sized Confetti Stencil Set on the inside of the card. Here’s a picture of what it looks like on the outside: And here’s what the inside looks like when you open the front flap: And of course I had to add a quick film clip of the card in action because you just have to see how fun this technique is! I’ve listed and linked all of the products for this project below. My second project features the new Raccoon Cutie Die-Namics. Valentine’s Day is coming very soon, so I knew that this adorable little raccoon would be perfect for a super easy to make treat container (I used a mini coffee bag that I had in my stash for the bag). These would be super fun and easy to mass produce, and very inexpensive! Again, I’ve listed and linked all of the products that I used for this project below. Please click on through to the MFT Online Boutique to be linked to the other adorable projects that my sweet teammates have created for your inspiration. While you’re there, be sure and leave some love along the way to be eligible for a $75 Gift Voucher to the MFT Online Boutique. A random winner will be chosen for every day of the this month’s Release Countdown posts. All of the February 2019 Release products will be available for purchase on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at 10:00 AM EST. That’s it for me, my friends! I’ll be back in my craft room (I’m still soooo behind!) working on knocking out more deadlines for this week’s release! I’ll be back again tomorrow with another release project, so I hope you’ll come back real soon to check it out! Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day! PRODUCTS USED:
Each week we see fantastic projects featuring My Favorite Things product, and we're always so thrilled to see what our customers and followers are creating! Today, we'd like to shine the spotlight on some awesome projects that have caught our attention in another edition of You've Been Spotted. If you see your project featured, feel free to post this image on your blog and link to this post to show the world that you were spotted by My Favorite Things! Alix Wow, wow, WOW. What a masterpiece from Alix! This 3D card spotted on Instagram features an incredibly detailed scene created with Our Story from Birdie Brown. There are so many details to love...right down to that coordinating band that keeps the card from popping open! Nance Salkeld Nance's card includes some delectably colorful cookies courtesy of the Cookie Crumbs stamp set and You're the Milk to My Cookie Die-namics from Laina Lamb Design. Feeling hungry? Today is the perfect day to treat yourself (to a delicious treat AND some new stamping goodies 😉) Koren Wiskman I love the multiple layers of framing Koren included in her card. The clean and simple look showcases that sweet Harvest Mouse beautifully. I also love how her mostly-neutral palette emphasizes her color choices within the frame...lovely! Deanne Kuntz Delicate Pretty Poppies come to life on Deanne's card. Her mix of stamped and die-cut floral elements adds so much dimension while the layered panels featuring two different stitched border options brings in just the right amount of texture. Hello friends! This month's Birthday Project Challenge from My Favorite Things has to do with using a numerical representation on your card. The challenge is to come up with interesting ways to feature numbers in your designs. I went for a subtle design by using a single digit on top of a cake. I used the LLD Bottlecap Numbers Die-namics. The numbers fit perfectly on top of the cake! For the background of my card, I blended some Spun Sugar, Shaded Lilac, and Wilted Violet Distress Oxide Inks. I then splattered this panel lightly with some opaque white paint. For my images, I stamped them lightly with Cement Gray Ink and tried some no-line coloring with Copic Sketch Markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out and adhered them to my card with 3D Foam Adhesive. Don't forget to stop by the MFT Challenge Blog to see what the rest of the participating team members have created! Come play along for a chance to win a $50 MFT Gift Voucher! Thanks for dropping by! Hearts are a universal symbol of love. While February is typically thought of as a month to celebrate a Valentine's Day type of love, birthday cards can also be thought of as an expression of our love for the birthday boy or girl. Hearts abound this month as our team has been busy crafting birthday cards featuring hearts. I immediately thought of PI Love Is in the Air Stamp Set and Die-namics for this card. To begin, I stamped little PI on No Line Coloring Card Stock with Extreme Black hybrid ink, cut her out with the coordinating Die-namics, colored her with Copic markers, and paper pieced her dress with paper from Birthday Brights Paper Pack. Next I created the background by sponging Strathmore Bristol Smooth paper with Broken China and Pumice Stone Distress Inks, stamped the sentiment from Essential Sentiments, and popped it up on a Sweet Tooth Card Stock base with foam tape, Next I cut Block Happy Birthday Die-namics from the patterned paper colors (see below), adhered them to the top of the card front, stamped the hearts with Wild Cherry dye ink, added them with bits of foam tape, and adhered the sweet little PI, also with foam tape. And that’s it from me today! Thanks so much for stopping by! Be sure to stop by the MFT Blog to see how to play and maybe win a prize! See you soon! Sometimes using a numerical representation of the birthday boy or girl’s age is to share in their excitement (four-year-olds LOVE being four!) and sometimes, it’s maybe to rub it in a bit…in a loving way, of course. This month, we're challenging you to come up with interesting ways to feature numbers in your designs — whether recognizing the milestone of a newly-christened teenager, the celebration of hitting the half-century mark, or anything in between (or beyond!) we want to see numbers in play. OK, peeps, I have to say I am so freakin’ pleased with this card I can hardly stand it, LOL! It turned out pretty much like I had in my head and I’m in my head it was awesome, LOL! So, let me tell you how I did it. I started by doing the background with Mini Cloud Edges Stencil and Berrylicious dye ink on Sweet Tooth card stock. Then I cut my Essential Speech Bubbles and using them and the bird stamps, laid out how I was going to arrange everything and marked where I needed to draw my light wires. Two of the speech bubbles had to be elongated to make it work with them going in the right direction. After I got the layout figured out and drew my lines with a Copic multiliner pen I stamped the birds from Tweethearts Stamp Set, cut them out with the coordinating Die-namics, and colored them with Copic markers, The sentiments on the speech bubbles are from All About You Stamp Set. OK, so next I stamped the “…again?” element using Mini Well-Connected Alphabet Stamp Set and the sentiment from Sassy Pants Birthday Greeting Stamp Set. Then I arranged the birds and speech bubbles and adhered them with foam tape. I cut the numbers from LLD Little Numbers Die-namics from Electric Red card stock, adhered them to the appropriate speech bubble and finished off with a little heart cut with Tag Builder Blueprints 6. And that’s it from me today! Thanks so much for stopping by!
