For the cake: 125g plain flour • 200g caster sugar • 65g cocoa powder • 3/4 tsp baking powder • 1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda • 1/2 tsp salt • 1 large egg, room temp • 60ml vegetable oil • 125ml milk, room temp (I used semi skimmed) • 1 tsp vanilla extract 125ml warm water Bake Time and Temperature • 170 Degrees Celsius • 35 minutes For the Oreo buttercream: 150g unsalted butter, softened • 200g icing sugar • 1-2 tbsp milk (any) • 3 Oreo’s, finely crushed 9 whole Oreo’s (optional) Tin size: 8x8” Bake until a toothpick comes out clean and allow to cool fully before making the icing.
