I’m a recovering perfectionist… And every time I started a weight-loss program I wanted to do it perfectly to a T… And that was my downfall. Perfection is not necessary to lose weight and striving for it can actually hurt your progress. Because every time you screw up you think of it as a failure and that you ruined everything and you need to start over. And nothing could be further from the truth. Mistakes are gonna happen - you’re human and it’s better to expect it and plan for it and know what you’re going to do when it happens rather than getting mad at yourself and wanting to quit because of it.
