Making task boxes for your classroom doesn’t have to feel daunting. One of my favorite strategies is to use old toys! I made this task box out of old wooden beads. These ones came with pattern cards, but you can make those yourself too. Easily differentiate a task like this by giving students different ways to complete it: • String the beads in any way - great for students working on fine motor skills. • String by color • String by size • String by shape - definitely a harder option • Or string by pattern - the most difficult method All of these different options help students with fine motor skills and time on task skills.
