For the third time in as many years the residents of the Julia Wallace Retirement Village in New Zealand have achieved viral status. The group first made headlines in 2014 when they performed a flash mob to Pharrell Williams' hit song "Happy" in a shopping center. And, in 2015 they sassy seniors released a nude calendar for charity. The group of 50 retirees has now released a remake of the video for crossover artist Taylor Swift's hit "Shake It Off." With the help of their grandchildren and retirement home staff, the group endured more than a week of intense practice and planning resulting in an impressive video full of wardrobe changes, choreography, and spot on lip-syncing. Since the video's release on July 21 it has been viewed nearly 500,000 times and shows no signs of slowing down. "With an average age of 82 and a combined age of more than 4,000 years, these retirees proved you're never too old to Shake It Off and have loads of fun," the video caption reads.
