I always try and optimise the feedings of my sourdough starter so that that there is very little carryover from one feeding to another. Which helps me avoiding the so called DISCARD. DISCARD can mean two things mainly 🌾waste, when you just go ahead and bin it (not great, but it can sometimes happen) OR 🌾making one of the many discard recipes you find online (in which case discard is saved).
