High-functioning anxiety...aka living with constant anxiety, but succeeding in everyday life. This shows up much differently externally than it does internally. ➡️ On the outside we can appear to be organized, responsible, helpful, energetic, dedicated high achievers. ➡️ On the inside we are actually exhausted, stressed, worried, irritable, self-critical overthinkers. It's so hard to be perceived differently than how we feel internally, but we know how to cover it up well. I have two things to say about this... #1 - Always be kind. You truly never know how or what someone is struggling with internally. #2 - Learn the tools and practices that can help you manage stress and anxiety. We all deal with anxiety on some level, whether it's high-functioning or not, situational or chronic.
