The Egg Drop Challenge is a a STEM project that I have used both in class and over Spring/Winter Breaks. Within the project, students are challenged to engineer a design using any materials of their choice that will ultimately protect a raw egg when dropped from 8 feet in the air. Included within this activity are the following: - A page detailing the objectives, material suggestions, and a brief description of the project. - A writing assignment where students need to draw and label their design, and then write a paragraph defending why their design will work. - A personalized Egg Drop Award certificate for students who successfully complete the drop without their egg cracking/breaking.
