These activities include: A cut & fold interactive notebook page to pair with the presentation on the 5 characteristics of a civilization. Students take notes on this, add pictures to represent each characteristic, and develop their own definition of "civilization". A 40+ slide PowerPoint with brief explanations of each characteristic and then supporting images for each one. A Google Slides version of this is included along with a fully-narrated "flipped classroom" video version. The video is great for absent students, posting to your Google Classroom for students to watch the night before, or just using yourself to prep for the lesson.
