Wonderful example from the original Daligramme collection produced in the 1970s by Lancel. In the late 1960s Dali devised a secret love code for his muse, who later on became his wife, Gala, which he would later dub as the Daligramme. Lancel took this love alphabet and created Le Dalí, a bag which was dedicated to Dalí's love story. This excellently executed suitcase is as equally functional as it is extraordinarily beautiful. Wrapped in a high quality dark brown leather this luggage piece features Dali's monogrammed love code printed across the surface comprising of stylized versions of the letters - G for Gradiva-Gala, D for Dali and S for Salvador, plus Dali's signature. The suitcase is fitted with contrast brass hardware on the corners, hinges and latches with a brown leather handle attached to brass hinges on a stitched leather backplate. The suitcase is lined inside and has two side pouches and two adjustable straps for stowing various travel items. The original "Design by Salvador Dali" manufacturers label made from leather can also be found on the inside. Fair to good vintage condition. Use commensurate with age are evident. Some signs of scuffs and minor scratches to the leather. Interior shows signs of use. Latches in good working condition but comes without key. Measurements: 20" H x 27" W x 8" D

Stylish matching pair of vintage American Tourister suitcases. In incredible condition for age! Circa late 1970s/early 1980s model. Comes with some of the original papers, tag, and one key. Ladies Weekend Bag 21" x 17.5" tall x 7" wide Weighs 6 pounds 8 oz empty. Has original tag attached identifying it as part of the "Cross Country Collection", Style No 1521, 21" Ladies' Weekend Case Has snap in pouch and zippered pouch. Other suitcase - I believe is the 2 Suiter Suitcase 22" x 15" x 7" Weighs 6 pounds 3 oz empty. Pair have brown faux leather exterior. Inside is cream colored material. Each case divides and has buckle straps to separate the compartment. Condition: Very few exterior scuffs. Inside is near pristine with very little signs of use or staining. See pics for details.
