Lovely rustic-looking recycled sari silk ribbon, in soft silver grey. This ribbon is a recycled product, with raw edges and it has been joined at intervals along its length. This ribbon has not been ironed so it's a little more like string. If ironed flat, the width will vary along the length of ribbon, but average width is 1" (2.5cm), and length is 5-6m. As it's made from reclaimed fabrics, the weave and weight can vary - which can occasionally affect the way the dye is taken up by the silk. However, it has great charm and character. This ribbon is perfect for cutting into shorter lengths for tying posies and buttonholes, styling stationery or wrapping around that special gift. All my coloured ribbons are hand-dyed using plant dyes, which results in colours which are more subtle and complex than those produced by synthetic dyes. No two ribbons will ever be the same - there will be slight variations and unique characteristics in every ribbon, adding to their charm and beauty. The ribbon is colour-fast in cold water. If you do decide to wash, please note that you should only use a pH neutral detergent on these ribbons, and only if necessary. Ribbons can be ironed on a warm/medium hot temperature.
