The buttonholes are made using a T-Bar corsage pin (like the back of a badge) which makes fixing to clothes much easier than using the usual dressmakers pin ordinarily supplied by florists. The stems are wrapped in stem text for support then covered in twine to provide a rustic, vintage feel.
