From Mansur's Anatomy, also known as Tashrih-I Mansuri, a treatise on the five "systems" of the body: bones, nerves, muscles, veins and arteries. Written in both Persian and Arabic, in the Nasta'liq script, the book has a chapter on each of these sections, as well as an introduction and an appendix on the formation of the foetus and organs. The manuscript has one hundred folios containing numerous illustrations and is 12 inches by 7 ¼ inches in size. It is not dated but is thought to have been created at some point during the 19th century. However, the original dates to c.1400.
