About the artisan Masako Nakagami Masako Nakagami was born in Kyoto Japan, and aspired to be a potter since elementary school. She moved to the UK in 2001, where she made ceramic tableware for restaurants, such as Zuma and Roka in London, and also worked with Lucy Smith at her studio in Leytonstone. Nakagami returned to Kyoto after 4 years and held both solo and group exhibitions across Japan.
