Ipod 'docking stations' are nothing new. Seems many electronic companies got the idea back in the late 50's. Consumers who grew up with table top tube radios may have been more "at home" with this larger combination. This speaker box was manufactured in March of 1961, the radio was made two months before that. When new the radio retailed for $39.95 and the speaker box sold for $19.95.
