This document consists of 100 pages of worksheets for an elementary art class. They are divided into grade-specific sections that can be printed and binded into workbooks. The sheets focus on the elements of art, vocabulary, techniques, and art criticism. They can be used individually or together. In my classroom, we make sketchbooks every year and I include these as the beginning pages of their sketchbook. They are also great assessments, introductory activities, early finisher activities, and great for sub days. Grade Levels: K-5th What’s Included: Kindergarten Workbook:15 pages of activities focused on the elements of art. 1st Grade Workbook: 17 pages of a on the elements of art, genres of art, and art criticism practice. 2nd Grade Workbook: 15 pages on the elements of art, writing about art, and writing an artist statement. 3rd Grade Workbook: 14 pages on the elements of art, writing about art, and comparing art. 4th Grade Workbook: 15 pages on the elements of art, techniques, drawing activities, and art criticism. 5th Grade Workbook: 21 pages of activities on the elements of art, techniques, drawing activities, and art criticism. Printing Printers vary, so you may need to adjust the printer settings you use. To avoid cutting off any parts of the worksheets, you can select the “fit to printable area” option when printing. This may make the pages and images a little smaller as a result. Format The workbook is in PDF format for easy printing. All the pages are combined into one document, but they are separated by each cover page. The pages are numbered and labeled for easy teaching.
