Austria Victor Angerer: Malaczka, Ungarn/Hungary (now Malacky, Slovakia), 3. 10. 1839 - Wien/Vienna, Austria, 10. 4. 1894. The famous photographer, Ludwig Angerer in 1860 began teaching photography his brother Victor shortly after he left the military service. This led Victor to open his own studio in 1862 in the 4th district of Vienna Unteren Alleegasse 14 (Wieden), later in 1863-1865 its second branch in Budapest together with Béla Gévay, and from 1865-73 another branch in the spa Ischl, the imperial summer residence. He ran a studio with his brother, Ludwig from 1866 or 1867 . Their partnership, as L & V Angerer, lasted shortly as Ludwig's health deteriorated and the operation of the studio passed solely to Victor in mid-1875.
