I showed how to make these cute little favor boxes last night on Facebook Live. It is a project I cased from German Demonstrator Brigitte Keiling - click here to see her beautiful projects using paper from the Needlepoint Nook collection. My box dimensions are 1 1/2" x 3" x 1 1/2". I am using the Gingham Gala designer series paper for my boxes, but this would be a great project for any papers and themes. My Lemon-Lime Twist version uses the Best Bunny Bundle, Story Label Punch, and a greeting from Itty Bitty Greetings. The egg was cut with a balloon framelit from the Candles & Confetti set, and I trimmed off the knot of the balloon. I did notice that the Bunny Builder Punch is still on Low Inventory this morning, so please shop now if you would like to … Continue reading →
Hi Everyone, The theme for this hop is the New Annual Catalogue which is full of exciting new things to play with. I've chosen to use the Cheerful Daisies bundle and teamed it with Subtles dsp stack in Bubble Bath which is one of the new Core Colours and is very pretty and combined it with an old favourite, Melon Mambo. Materials 1 piece of Melon Mambo card stock 5 7/8" x 8 1/4", scraps for the flowers 2 pieces of basic white card stock 3 7/8" x 5 5/8", scraps for the flowers and sentiment 1 piece of Subtles dsp in Bubble Bath 3 5/8" x 5 3/8" Cheerful Daisies stamp set Cheerful Daisies dies Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine Basic Rhinestones Melon Mambo ink Bubble Bath ink Nature's Prints stamp set Trimmer Simply Scored Bone Folder Multipurpose Adhesive Dimensionals Instructions On the long side score the Melon Mambo at 4 1/8" and fold and burnish to make the card base. Adhere one piece of the basic white to the card front and then add the dsp layer to that. Die cut the clump of three flowers in Basic White, then die cut the solid flowers and the intricate tops of those flowers in Melon Mambo to add some more depth and interest. You can cut all the layers in just one colour but I thought I would try two to see what it looked like and I have to say that I like it. Die cut two of the twiggy pieces. Snips the white flowers apart carefully to make three separate flowers, then add the white layer to the solid melon mambo pieces and then add the intricate melon mambo pieces over the top. They are really easy to line up so that they match. Add dimensionals to the back of the flowers and arrange them on the card front, make sure you leave enough space below them for your sentiment. Tuck in the twiggy bits around them, split them apart to make smaller bunches if you like. Stamp a sentiment on a scrap of white and then die cut using the label sentiment from this die set and add to the card front using dimensionals. On the remaining piece of white, stamp a sentiment in the centre and add a flower to the bottom right corner. This is a two step stamp and I have used Bubble Bath as the solid layer and added Melon Mambo for the detail. Adhere to the inside of the card. Sprinkle some rhines stones on the card front and the card is complete. Please pop over and see what everyone else has chosen from the New Annual Catalogue. We made this card in my Team Meeting this week and also on Facebook Live last night. I am following up here with dimensions and pictures showing the steps to create it. I will not transfer the video here - I think it will be easier to follow this post than to sort through the video for the pertinent info. We had fun last night with our Penguin Punch art and look at what we created with them. We have a card which I guess will be one of my cards this Xmas. We also made some Treat Cup goodies! The cups fit perfectly in front of these cutesies. All I did was adhere them in front of the penguins with M&M mints inside. Aren't they so cute! No need for complicated paper backing or openings behind. I found that it's easy to peel the cups from the Penguin without tearing them. They adhere back onto the penguin after the goodies are gone. Sooo Cool!!! Ok, Ok! I know you've been asking for the punches I used.
