You are to carry out your mission and report back to Moses and to the Israelites with your findings. This activity set on Numbers 13 is full of adventure and excitement! It also encourages students to learn from Israel’s mistakes and choose to trust God’s promises as you look forward to what He has in store for you. HOW TO USE THESE RESOURCES: Spy Badge: Includes a place for students to draw their picture, write their own agent number, and stamp their fingerprint. You can put these on lanyards for the kids to wear! I included a color and black and white version. Spy Mission Booklet: Each booklet has six pages. The pages include: Mission Details, Spy Notes, The Promised Land Sketches (2 pages), Remember His Promises, and a Report Page. I printed these double-sided (flip on short edge). I included a color and black and white version. There is an answer key included on the next page. Evidence Bag Cut-Outs: Have the students collect 3 pieces of evidence from their mission by drawing it in the evidence bag. I cut these apart and put one in each Spy Mission Booklet. Joshua & Caleb/ The Other Spies Heading Strips: These two headings are to be used to create a comparison side-by-side. Use the Response Cards below to help students see the difference between the two responses given from the spies after spying out the promised land. Response Cards: Each card has a word that describes the response given either by Joshua and Caleb or the Other Spies. Students are to match each card to the correct Heading Strip above. See answer key on the next page for the correct matching. Trust God Reflection Half-Sheet: Includes a reflection on the consequences of the Israelites disobedience and encourages students to put their trust in God.
