This Victorian Childhood Puzzle Purse "Valentine" will certainly become a treasured keepsake. It features antique images of Victorian children and flower baskets in lovely pastel shades on ivory paper. The collectible greeting card is embellished with vintage die cuts and hand-drawn, hand-watercolored borders. It is a facsimile of my original artwork. Pictured above are the front and back of the same card. The dimensions are 7 1/2 inches square when opened and 2 1/2 inches square when folded. The card comes with a 6 1/2 x 4 3/4 inch envelope and makes an unusual and fascinating greeting card for either an adult or child. The Puzzle Purse was used in Japan as an origami purse to carry thread. Its design became popular in America from the 1700's through the Victorian Era - and now again in current times. The card has been hand-folded into the intricate puzzle purse design. A personal note can be tucked into the center of the card for the recipient to discover as she unfolds the puzzle purse. I can include a note with your message written in script.
