Graceful Cross of beachcombing finds/shells, seaglass, faux pearls mounted on found driftwood. The whorls from the inside of whelk shells are either found already worn down or broken whelks are found and shaped by me with drills. I think these spirals are so pretty and couldn’t be a better base for these crosses. I live near the beach and hunt regularly especially after storms for these spirals. After a storm we comb through all the debris. That’s why these aren’t always available. You need 4 good spirals that form a beautiful cross. The piece measures 7 1/2 x 4 inches from tip to tip of shells. Just returning from Florida this cross is made from many found material that were lovingly picked up piece by piece from the keys and my home beach in ct. There is a loop on the back so it can be hung on the wall or it looks lovely just placed on a side table or propped up against something. I think it would also look stunning in a frame if you wish I can do that. Another idea is hang a pretty empty frame on the wall and then hang the cross on the wall inside the frame. This would make a special gift on, Easter, Christmas, Birthday, or for sympathy or any occasion really.
