If your school is doing Conscious Discipline, or maybe you just want to shake up your discipline system. These classroom commitments encourage students to make wise choices and thoughtful decisions. With the goal being to help children develop life skills that will lead to success in school and beyond by recognizing and taking responsibility for their own behaviors. Each morning the students will enter the classroom and make a pledge to work on one of our classroom commitments. This will change from day to day, but the idea is for the student to identify and manage the behaviors that they can work on throughout the day. Depending on our classroom needs, our commitments might change throughout the year. But for the beginning of the year, these will be our classroom commitments: 1. I am going to use watching eyes. 2. I am going to use listening ears. 3. I am going to use kind words 4. I am going to use gentle touches. 5. I am going to use walking feet.
