Things not to do in Italy - local tips (coffee edition) ☕️ ☕️ Coffee culture is a big deal in Italy and it’s pretty hard to find a bad cup of coffee when traveling around the country. ☕️ But, if you’re used to drinking a regular (long) black coffee, ask for an Americano rather than ‘un caffe’ in the bar or pasticceria. ☕️ Many places won’t likely advertise ‘Americano’ on the menu, but there’s no harm in asking for one if this is the coffee you want. ☕️ A regular coffee in Italy is an espresso. Short, robust and strong, it may not be to everyone’s liking. ☕️ I personally prefer a cappuccino or a macchiatone (small cappuccino). ☕️ While I’m certain I’ll receive comments about ‘espresso’ being the standard coffee in Italy, being the best etc, this isn’t the point of this video.
