It was beautiful but it it's it's definitely a monster of a of a base. This is just twenty-four inches and you can see I'm kind of squishing it so that we have some vase. Oh my gosh, I have like a random carnivorous plant here. Let me move some stuff. Now, the crazy thing and I'm sure a lot of you guys that make wreaths know this is as we start to get into Christmas season, at least if you're like me, the walking space gets less and less, less and less. You just want it to look rolled. Kinda like the chromos. It literally just looks like a chromosome. I don't know how to describe it. And the theme today is going to be Santa Tweed and candy canes. Okay? Specifically the candy canes that were in my tree I just did today. If you're in my group I took them right back out because I want them in this wreath because I love them. So yes for those of you commenting sold one oh one. It's a beautiful D Stephens 4 inch ribbon. It's a tweed and it's 10 yards. It's so pretty. And it feels really nice too. So we are going to be going to be very much the star of the show tonight. Nessie went to her niece's house in the rain. Well, I'm glad you got there safe, Nessie. I don't like driving in the rain personally. I get spooked. big time. I mean, I don't really like driving period but especially in bad weather. The worst weather I've ever driven in was in Pensacola, Florida. It was directly after my first and only craft show that I've ever done and I I was getting so scared. Um it was so like I I swear I thought I was like in a hurricane or something. I had never been in a rainstorm where it felt like a car wash and I literally I stopped in the middle. It was so bad. I stopped in the middle of the road and if whenever I had time, I like peeked over and just hit on the shoulder for like 30 minutes until it finally passed but you know, that is kind of Florida in a nutshell I think. where they have the daily flash flood. And then it's back to being sunny. So that was my driving experience Pensacola. So I'm taking these curls and what I'm doing is I'm adding them all around the outside ring and then the inside ring. So, I'm I need to do more research but I am I out of all the international shipping, certainly, I would like to start with Canada and Mexico. That's our base. You can see we just stuffed it with some mesh. It's not completely stuffed. Not a big deal. I used whatever mesh I had on hand. Chew rolls. If you really want a fully stuffed look, you can go in with a third but we won't need it because we're going to start going in with the ribbon here and I did cut a little bit because I contemplating using this on the tree earlier. We ended up going about it. So again this one's sold one zero one. It's a four inch Dee Stevens. Beautiful Santa tweed. And it actually has a little bit of a clear tinsel in there. So I'm going to try to show it to you. But it definitely feels nice. It's a beautiful ribbon. I only have 11 rolls of these. So If you would like these, I probably get them sooner rather than later because I'm, I don't think I'm going to be able to restock these, unfortunately. If I restock any ribbons, it'll be the skinnier ones because I can move with those better. But I'm just going to take long tails and I'm going to focus this on the bottom half for now. And this is the inspo for our design. So, I really wanted to go in with something red and white, and you can even add silver if you want. Oh my gosh, mascara. How are you? Lisa, great question. She asked have I made a wreath with the big Hobby Lobby Coco mug? I don't think I have but I think Jen has with burlap and bling. It's a good size though for a wreath and it's lightweight. So, I would and you know what? It would go with this too. It would go with this. My vision was kind of going more for the like the white fabric in between which is why we're going to use some of the flocked Hobby Lobby balls here I'll show you what I mean in one second. So, let me add a couple tails and we're not just going to add these as tails. We're also going to incorporate a little bit of just regular white ribbon. So, let me show you. This one is a pleat, very pleated bright white ribbon. This one is sold one zero 4 and it's a two and a half inch by ten yard and you could see here the detailing. It's got a bit of a pleated look to it. I do not ship to Australia at the moment unfortunately Hopefully, the next couple years, we can start thinking about that. Like I said, earlier, we're thinking about maybe Canada and Mexico one day. Nora, my tails range. These are about 18 inches. I don't really measure. I kind of like them to be long on the bottom and shorter as we get around the wreath but sort of my method but anything works, you know, you can have short tails, long tails, take this, give em a little bit of a curl and then along with the white, we're going to go in with our favorite here. I know you guys have been loving this one. This is a one inch by ten yard. This one's sold one zero five. And it is that velvet that shows up so pretty on camera. I've got three different colors. I got fuchsia, emerald, and this red. And you guys have been buying the red and emerald like crazy. And we're going to add this too. I think the tweed and the velvet together looks super pretty. I think in yesterday's live because I I ended up losing some peripheral vision here from it but you know, this is what got me through sort of that transition because for a long time, I kind of felt lost, you know? So, and it ebbs and flows, right? Like, of course, some people just decorate for Christmas, right? So, not everyone does every season But I would say now is about the time where most people start joining because we're pretty much full on Christmas at this point. From here on out until until December, December, believe it or not, we're going to start doing Valentine's but we are trees, centerpieces, wreaths galore, corner swags, garlands, all of that. I really appreciate that and you know, I'm glad that we're here to enjoy all the pretty things together. So, I added a bow down here on the bottom left, just a basic tulip bow and then, another tulip bow on this corner and then I kind of just tucked some of the tail into a couple of the pine branches And there's really no perfect way to do this. I just want to have two bows and then we're really going to go in with some ornaments. So, let me show you the flocked ornaments that picked up today from Hobby Lobby. These only these two are bows. The rest of them are just tails. So a tail is something like this. It's just a long piece of ribbon with a dovetail edge if you want it to be dovetailed. And then I kind of just fold it in half and do like that. That's a tail. This is a really short tail so I didn't use this. Normally my tails are a little bit longer. Vicky made 2 custom Halloween swags today. I love to hear it Love to hear it. So, we're going to go in with these six-inch ornaments. These are three pieces from Hobby Lobby. They're called Winter White. They're sixteen full price so they're $8 for three. Pretty good, right? And the reason why I picked these and they have other sizes too. So, if you don't want them in large, you can get them smaller. They're kind of, they look like a snowball but I thought it was the perfect like texture match to this Dana, this ribbon is a 4 inch and then the other ones we use to kind of embellish are in one inch and then the white here is a two and a half. But these are optional. You could really just get away with the four inch. I just wanted to have different tails throughout. So, we're going to see if we can use all three. And I love the price point on these. And like I said, they have other sizes too. Just let me move that over there and I'm going to make some room real quick. That way, you guys can get a more central view. I know I've been working on the ribbons kind of on the side here. So, move the ribbons. These are extra tails that we ended up not using. I try to clean as I go but good lord. If you saw my floor, you would know that that's not the case. There's no way of going around it like creating. It it gets messy. It gets messy. I'm going to put this over here. Okay. So, now, we can incorporate and these are from yesterday. Now, I can move my computer how many yards is the one-inch ribbon? All three of those are ten-yard spools. Thank you for that question. Boom. Now, the ribbon space or the wreath is facing me but what I want to do is I want to add one ornament to the top. One center. And probably once on the bottom kind of just having three snowballs. If you can imagine, just three snowballs. I love the one-inch red and that one is so, it's so universal like we used it today but you can even use it for patriotic or valentines and we might be able to use it for the next wreath if we end up doing another one. So, here is Snowball One and these are really lightweight So, any ornament that's white and has a little bit of a flocked detailing, I think would be perfect to go with the tweed. And all you need is just some hot glue Your niece's cats are not there. Aw. I have been leaving my calves out of the craft room very recently. Um someone asked yesterday a great question. They're like oh you don't like a glue pot? I do like a glue pot but I have a tuxedo cat and his hair is long. And my biggest fear is that he's going to hop up on here. Cuz he does that all the time. And you know get his hair cut. So so we don't we don't you know If I'm in here by myself, sometimes I'll leave the door open and we'll hang out. He'll like sit on the window. But I I use the glue. Um the glue gun for that reason. Oh, they were there. You played with them. Oh, it's cute. Hi, Lola. Yeah, I guess, honestly, I feel like I did not do a lot today. I was supposed to do a lot more but I I think just between kind of regular errands and life and I guess the tree took us a little bit. It took like a full hour to do that front side. It did take us a little bit of time. This is a sure bonder. Oops. Sure bonder and you can find it at Walmart. I think this specific ones from Hobby Lobby. And Jen uses the Gorilla Glue one and I like that one too. Honestly, I just don't like glue guns that get too hot. So, for me, I don't mind if it's a little wimpy I've had the cordless. It did work for a year and a half and then, I'm not kidding like two weeks ago. I, it started smoking. Like the charger started smoking. So, I got really scared and switched back to the wired one. Alright, so we got our big snowball ornaments here. Super cute. Now, we're going to need some red ornaments, right? Specifically, my favorites of all time, the candy apple finish. So, we have two six-inch of the candy apple ornaments right here. This one's sold one zero 3. We have just under 20 of these left. Just a heads up. My favorites, I I might be able to restock these because this is something we can use all Christmas time and I foresee we could probably sell another bunch before the move but I love these. They're big. They're just as big as these guys, right? So, I only have two. I I'm going to add one at the very top of the bow. And then one like right next to this ornament but not directly next to it. More like Maybe like right there. Or I like it right there. Uh Julie has the Ryobi and it's cordless but drips. It's it's scary, Julie. That one gets really hot for me. I do have that one, believe it or not. It is good though for travel. So, you know, on the off chance that I am traveling somewhere to go create and I can, you know, not expect to have a hot glue. Um then, I'll bring it but I'm very careful with it because it's spooky. It's very spooky. Hey, Stacy. How are you? I'm using some of your guys' peppermint candy canes right now. It it it does get really hot. That is the downside. Um but it is truly wireless. Like you charge the battery and just plug in the battery. The Sherbonger wireless one which I did like. Um you charge it and then when you take it off it you can use it wirelessly until it cools down. So, you're constantly recharging it. And that's why whenever I was recharging it, I was like, why is this smoking? It got really scary. So, So we're going to use two of these six-inch ball ornaments and even now, I feel like this really isn't heating up as much as it normally does. Oh no, it's okay. It's just a sure bonder wired hot glue gun and my wireless one like one day started smoking so it scared me. And then I threw it away. But overall, I mean, I've gone through like three of these in all of my craft and I do this a lot. So, I feel like for that investment alone, totally worth it. Cuz you can find these anywhere. Is this Jen or is this Sky? I see a high and a which makes me think it's Jen. And I was talking about our Tampa classes a bit. Pink Owen. And I'll tell you what. She has been MIA all day. I know. I haven't even really been able to get a hold of her because I think they've been working on a lot of pink going already. So, what I like about it is, you know, if you wanted to, I guess you can make it like a ring but it's all totally wired and what I love about it is it's got a velvety texture to it. So, the red is velvet and the white is kind of flopped. So, it really matches the ribbon well and what I like to do you could do a basic candy cane but I like to make it like really obnoxiously curled. This is my favorite thing. Yes, they're only 210. As I'm sure these can get heavy. So what I do honestly is I tie like two of these branches here at the top. I'll twist them together to make a hook and it stays. It stays. I definitely hang really really heavy designs and the the base is really the best way to display it and then from there, I actually I have these iron detailings on my door which does help carry the weight but if you get a good rebook, honestly, from Michaels is my recommendation because those are really heavy. That's what that's where I put those Four inch for the tweed, 10 yards. Yes, ma'am. Okay, back to burlap and bling. I also got these in today. And I have three of them. And they used to have a bunch of different colors. These are beautiful cedar picks to any of my students. We also did use this in the tree today too. And they are individual picks but what you can do is you can split them into tiny tiny pieces. A biscotti bakes. The white fuzzy balls are actually from Hobby Lobby. Yeah they come in a pack of three. And they were like 8. So they're a great find. And they did have smaller ones too. Looking back on it. I kind of wish I picked up a pack of the smaller ones so we could zigzag them but you work with what you got. Yes, this is called a glitz pick in red. I love it. So, you could go two directions with this design, right? You could, this is what it looks like right now. You could add green to it. You could definitely make it a green Christmas wreath by all means but I kind of want this to all be red and white. So, that's what we're going to do. So, I'm taking all these individual picks and again, these are from Burlap and Bling. I do a lot of my shopping from there, guys. So, it's just the of it's a way of life for me. Been a little long for my personal personal taste. So, this one, let's try to keep that like 40 minutes. I am cutting the mesh around twenty-four inches. I don't really measure personally. You can if you want. I just think it's quicker to measure from the heart. And I will say, I mean, when you've been making wreaths, you will just get used to whatever length you prefer, right? So, I'm not done with those still. We can still do lots of traditional fall. I mean, I got pumpkins today when I was out. So, now, I wish the fall was on 50percent. It makes no sense that Christmas is 50%, but fall still forty. But you know, I'll deal with it I suppose. Getting mesh everywhere. And like I said I typically do the outside ring first and then move inwards. I'm wrapping on the outside first and then the inside. and I'm actually going to roll up my sleeves because this is where you start to really get it stuck to your sleeves. I know, right, Vicky? I was looking around. I was like, wait, why are pumpkins still 40% off? Cuz I think they literally jump from forty to like seventy-five. I think they stay at forty the whole year to be honest with you. But I will say at the very least, I'm glad that the pricing this year is better. So, even when I'm shopping around and those Christmas balls, like I said, it was 16 dollars full price for three and I was like, oh, well, $8 for three of those is pretty good. The mesh is from the ten-inch tube. So, I used to use twenty-one-inch mesh and I still will on occasion like I still have plenty of twenty-1-inch mesh that I need to get through but I started doing more curls because I find it's easier to get our sprays in there. And this totally just, it brings me to Valentine's Day, right? I love valentines decorating. It it, you know what? It really might be okay, it's not my favorite holiday to decorate for but the transition from Christmas to Valentine's is always very welcome for me because I love pink and red. I have considered changing that logo to pink and red but people have talked me out of it because I've had that one for a while. Jeremy asked, do you recall if you cut the stems down for the Halloween swag above the hallway or just twisted them? I just twisted those. So, I didn't cut any of those. The only thing I had to cut for the for the garland was the ribbon. Everything else, what I did, let me use this as an example, is I took the spray kind of fluffed it like this. And I I actually because it was shaped kind of like an L, right? So, if it was on this side, I poked it upwards and I kind of made them point towards the corner. That's just how I did it. Pointed it upwards and then, if it was falling out, I took a branch and kind of just wrapped it around one, one piece. It'll totally stay and if it's outdoors, you know, you can wrap it around a second branch but it'll, it'll stay in. Um Kelly, I think they meant like alternate between inner ring and outer ring. So, you can see. I'm kind of just focusing my mesh on the outer ring right now and then, I do inner ring but either one works. I've done it both ways and as long as you get the coverage in there, it's really all that matters. Yes, Sabrina. 10 inch tubes and the curls are twenty-four inches in length. Approximately. Some are probably a bit longer. And I'm probably going to use both both rolls. Just the whole thing. Just to get some really good coverage in here and that way I can clear up some space too. So, we're going to be using some of these. But let's get some ribbon tails in there first. So, we are going to use a classic, classic. I know it's I know we use a lot of fancy ribbon tonight, guys. I'm sorry. This one is sold one oheight. It is a fancy red velvet, 10 yards, 4 inches, thick. Very, very thick. I normally, I normally go live at nine. We've been trying to keep it consistent at nine. And we're not going to use that much of this to be honest with you. We're going to use when it's a really nice ribbon, I do try to get two and a half wreaths out of it. So, we're going to make a bunch of tails. Probably like four tails and then a bow. And that's it. What am I using? I have my my new scissors here. Use the new scissors. And yes you could even use the red the red one inch that we just used. Yes, it's a date. You know what? And I always air on the side of it being longer because you can always trim but once I have a tail that's too short and you can't even see it, then, I struggle, you know? Actually, especially when I move guys, a lot of stuff gets given like a lot of stuff gets given away during the moves because you know, it takes up space like of a bunch of ribbon can be boxed but you know, a lot of wreaths and especially like big garlands and stuff. I certainly donate wherever I can. So, I always donate. Um to neighbors, family, whoever's local and we definitely plan on having a huge destache sale too and it the prices will be very very low. It'll kind of just be like if you want stuff come by. Um we'll have more info on that once we're able to move. But yes, I definitely whenever I can, want to give away stuff because everyone loves holiday decor Makes everyone happy. When making wreaths, do you use a wreath stand? You know what? I used to but I've gotten so used to not using it that I haven't for a while but whatever I'm crafting by myself, I actually prefer to use it. So, I guess I just have it for a while because like the point of view gets a little tough to teach. Um but I would invest in one if you've just started. So, next, I'm taking this one-inch pink shabby silk. Yeah. This one's from burlap and bling. They have a bunch of pink ribbon. That is, this is the one color I don't have. I don't have a lot of baby pink which is so sad. So, we're going to layer a one inch on a four inch. I am moving and we don't know where. We don't know when. My husband's in the military so we're kind of used to that. It is a one-inch ribbon. Jeremy says I'm not good at bows. Would you be open to predoing those for me? I would. I need to be better about that. I did a bunch of bows the other day. Like I have more like 10 or 14 days ago. I say it's probably closer to two weeks ago. Um and I haven't listed them. But those are Christmas. But I could definitely do some pre-made bows. Let me think about how I would have to upload that. If it would be on my Etsy or my comment sold. But if you want a specific ribbon I would a send me a DM and then from there, hopefully, we can get something started. Yeah, the red is four inch and then this pink is a one and I love this combo together, right? And then, let's take a pipe cleaner, 20-inch pipe cleaner. You can get these at burlap and bling too. And if you don't want red velvet, I know they have mint and I actually they have a red with a pink back that I am. I'm going to get that next time I go. So, if you want a double-sided, they've got the pink and red. Yeah, we do move a lot. So, what I did is I zip tied that. I zip tie it shut and then I just zip tied a pipe cleaner to the back. That way, we can pop it into the wreath. So, I'm going to take some of these tails. I think a gingerbread bow would be perfect. I need to find some pretty brown ribbon. I think that would be a great idea. He bought the ribbon. I used just want to know how to get the look. You know what? Um let me, I used the whole, let me, let me ask you. I used a whole roll of it. Would you like me to just recreate the similar bows that are on that specific one? If you're going for that exact L shape because let me know and I just make the bows because I haven't shipped it yet and it won't take me long. So, I could do that. Especially because it's just that one, that one ribbon. No material in the center of the bow right now. This 20-inch pipe cleaner is from Burlap and Bling Decor. It's a tough, it's it's a lot of moving parts for sure. We've kind of just gotten used to it and to be honest, It it gets to a point because let's see. What move is this? One, two, three. This is our fifth move. In 4 years? But it gets to a point where you kind of get used to being in the same place for, you know, like you get a little tired of it. So, we've been here in Kingsville since last April which is a long time for us. So, we're going to miss it like we like Kingsville the most out of all the places we lived but we're kind of ready for something now. I did sell the one from yesterday. Yes. And I zip tied the pipe cleaner. Yup. Sabrina, this is a twenty-four-inch wreath base and the design will probably 30 inches by 25 inches by the time we're done. Alright. So, here's what it looks like with just three tails and a bow. So, you could see We've got tail one, two, and three and then a bow. I like the bow to be on the bottom left and I'll probably add the other tail on that side. Just because we already cut it but you can get away with three tails. Very thick and strong ribbon. So, I I always use this for all of Christmas. I think it's beautiful paired with traditional Christmas too and especially like, let's say you get the the Hobby Lobby Jupe Jewels. I think this is a ribbon that would really really stand stand out with it. This one's sold one oh eight. And the pinks from Broad and Bling. So, we we do know that it can be two different states. So, and again, it's going to be a short-lived move because we're going to move again shortly after but it's either going to be California or South Carolina and there's pros and cons to both because we have family in Southern California, right? Like I'm from there and he's from there too. Totally ignoring my hobby I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm glad you like it though. I'm I love pink and red too, Betty. It's so fun. The mesh does, it reminds me of Valentine's, absolutely. Okay. So, now that we got our ribbons in there, guess what? We're going to pop a big old ornament in the center. The tails, you know, I don't measure them but they range anywhere from 18 to twenty-four inches. So, we're going to go in with an eight-inch ornament here. And yes, we used this in the tree today, guys. It's a pink candy apple finish. So, it is this finish that I'm talking about where you when you look up close, it looks like glitter that's like fused in there if that makes sense. So, it feels smooth but you can't see your reflection the same way you would look at a shiny ornament. 8 inches, literally just going to pop on the center. So, this one's sold one zero six. I don't have too many of these unfortunately. Yes, the bottom tails are definitely at least 20 inches. I haven't made tree toppers in a while. I don't know if I'd make them to sell yet We have to see. I like the idea of doing tree toppers but I get a little I get a little overwhelmed with like the bigger customs. So, I'm afraid to take on smaller customs. Like, I I'm fine with packing in Jeremy's bows really easily because I haven't shipped that. So, if it's like simple bows like that, I can totally do. And apparently that termite attracts other termites. So we're just going to get whatever treatment plan they got. I was like nope I'm not dealing with that. But yeah, he showed up and he was like, oh, okay. You really like Halloween and Christmas? I'm like, yes. What about it? Alright. So, this is what it looks like right now and I know it looks crazy with that big old ball but we're going to add more balls. That's 8 inches. So, we're going to add two more of the red. So, the big eight inch was sold one oh six and then we're going to go back to sold onezero3. And we're going to add two of these. And I do wish we had more pink in this size. I think it'd be really pretty in the size. And we're just going in with hot glue but these are beautiful for trees too guys because the wire, these are bickerman. It's actually wired through the ornament. So, they're on there solid. Perfect for your seasonal designs. Like they're not going to be moving. Um do I use high temp or low temp? Uh they're all pretty high temp I guess. Sorry, I'm just seeing some of these comments. Um yes, 6 inch. These red ones here are six inch. And then the pink was eight. Okay. This kind of reminds me of like Cindy Lou. Right? Alright. Now, I'm really just kind of forming my bow a bit more. So that's what she's starting to look like. And I feel like this one needs to be maybe all the way down there. And then we will find some sprays to add up there. For these know because it's looped into the ornament. So, it's, it's like in there Sabrina, great question. So, with the Hobby Lobby ornaments, what I would do is I I think they do come like they split in half pretty easily which is not that big of a deal for the price point, honestly. I could deal with that. So, what I would do is I would actually take them apart and then, I would glue them back together like along the sides and then, from there I forget do they have the, like, is the loop made of resin? Cuz if the loop's made of resin, what you can do is you can zip top, you can zip tie it into the wreath. That's what I normally do with the other jewels that I have that are a little bit heavier. I do prefer to zip tie them because they're really smooth. So, when things are really smooth, like even ornaments, they can, they can be a little hard to to glue. They can break apart. So, That's why it actually helps to glue your ornament to some ribbon or to some fabric because it'll it'll stick. Cute, cute, cute. Now, I'm going to take a little bit more of this pink ribbon and get some tails just throughout the design because I realized we only added red tails. And then on top of that, Sabrina, I would definitely use a lot of glue with that But I've also seen people let's say let's say the hook is not actually a part of the jewel. Um I've seen people glue kind of like felt to something that's really smooth. Or even metal. I've seen people glue felt to the back and then glue the felt onto a wreath and that helps. Do I plan ideas for the wreaths or do they come to you as you're creating them? I normally start with the centerpiece. And to be honest this today's inspo actually came from the tree that I did for my students today. So, from the tree, I was able to basically pick the same stuff. Um I did change up the ribbons because we really didn't add, I don't think we added too much ribbon to that tree. Um but that is how I came up with the color scheme. So, that's what it's looking like right now. I'm going to add more pink tails. In a seven-foot pencil tree, I would want at least, in my opinion, at least twenty-four and it's because of the sprays They make a big impact and these are perfect for a tree because they're long but you're not going to want to split them. So, I I would probably go twenty-four and I I used varieties of 12 to twenty-fours today in my tree. And you'll kind of be able to count because mine was a seven and a half foot but it's not a pencil. So, that that's why I'm saying twenty-four flat. I think that would be a good choice It's hard because when you're working with a tree, it's basically like a mega wreath, right? I do treat tutorials in my holiday school because I'm able to prerecord it. Um and if you want more info, it's in my bio if you'd like to join. Tammy asked oh yay. So I did teach them how to do my tree, Um some artwork. I think I even did like we certainly did a tablescaper too. This season, it's going to be prerecorded because I'm going to be probably moving but I will certainly walk you all through it and it'll probably be still traditional but with a couple changes of course because I still want to reuse whatever I bought last year. Can't go wrong with the red and red and green. How much is the group?
