Our yerba mate cup is hand carved out of Algarrobo wood. Each artisan made wooden mate gourd is unique and weighs around 12.35 ounces (350 grams). Box in pictures is included together with detailed instructions on how to prepare your "mate" before using it for the first time. CAPACITY: 3.38 Fluid ounces (100 ml). Capacity may vary slightly for each mate since mates are handmade. NOTES: * You may also purchase a mate straw to go with your mate. The National Emblem Straw shown in the pictures is handmade out of alpaca and can be purchased separately or in a bundle with your mate cup. * The mate box includes a pack of 500 grams of organic yerba mate, an alpaca bombilla straw and an algarrobo mate. All of our pieces have four metal dots embedded in the wood, which symbolize the Southern Cross, a constellation of stars seen in the southern skies.
