The Rowat Lofts sit on the site formally occupied by Rowat Cut Stone, within the Market District, a historically industrial area of downtown Des Moines, Iowa. Material selections were made to complement the surrounding historic warehouse structures, such as brick and metal cladding on the exterior facade and cedar plank siding within interior spaces.
