Articulation cards are a must-have for speech therapy, and this FREE DECK targeting INITIAL /r/ will be a versatile tool for years to come! These digital articulation cards have built-in features such as modeling (audio included!) and self-monitoring. A total of 30 cards to practice initial /r/ are included. These cards can be used to: ✔ Evaluate stimulability ✔ Collect baseline & progress monitoring data ✔ Provide practice and drill opportunities (with or without a reinforcement activity) ✔ Work on self-monitoring and awareness ✔ Assign for homework (the audio button allows for independent practice!) Each card comes with: ★ A clear and colorful picture... with more mature graphics for older students! ★ The target word with letters of the target phoneme highlighted ★ A button to play the word aloud (optional) ★ A green checkmark button and a red 'X' button for the SLP, parent, or student to use for feedback, self-rating, or taking data. The activity can be adapted to more complex articulation goals by asking the student to imitate or create phrases or sentences using the target words. The resource also promotes students’ independence by providing them with an audio clip of each word whenever needed. And by monitoring and self-rating their own productions, they are taking more ownership of their speech progress. The cards in this deck play in random order. To navigate to a specific word: ► From your library, click the “Action” button next to the deck, then click “Custom Play Settings” and toggle “Turn off randomizing the cards” OR… ► Then, to navigate to a particular word when playing the deck, click “Overview” and arrow over to the desired section of the deck. ► Please note that any deck played from Preview mode does not randomize. Free AIR Sound Vocalic R Phrases and Sentences Printables 2 Free Pages from my Easy Vocalic R Phrases and Sentences Resource | Speech therapy | Articulation Printables Every page in the full resource contains either vocalic /r/ coarticulation phrases or sentences. Coarticulation is a great strategy for teaching the motor pattern for vocalic R. Targets include: vocalic r AIR sentence and phrases with coarticulation contraction they're with coarticulation sentences The coarticulation strategy in this set of sentences will be helpful for students who can say initial R sounds but are struggling with one or more of the vocalic R sounds. Coarticulation uses a sound your student can produce to teach the target sound. These can be used during therapy sessions or sent home as homework. I have seen great results with this strategy with my own students. I use these with every one of my /r/ articulation students. They are great for carryover of new motor patterns. Want the full set? Easy Vocalic R Phrases and Sentences Tips for using this resource ⭐️The coarticulation strategy used in this resource works best with students that have already mastered prevocalic /r/ at syllable and word level.⭐️ ⭐️Take the prevocalic /r/ skill they already have and use this strategy to teach vocalic /r/ sounds in the final position.⭐️ ⭐️I have often found that if I focus on one vocalic /r/ sound with this strategy until the student is successful; the student will frequently show progress with other vocalic /r/ sounds that we have not yet targeted.⭐️ Check out my blog post here for more information about vocalic r coarticulation.
