Construction Notes: “This stole, knit on a garter st ground, has no bound-off edges. The central panel is knit first and the first border worked directly afterwards. Sts are picked up from the cast-on edge of the central panel for the second border. The vandyked lace edging can be knit with shaped and mitered corners around the periphery of the stole, or it can be knit straight, separately, and sewn on.” Notes: Do not slip sts at beginning of rows unless specified.
