My card for today was created, as a member of the Design Team, at... Try a Sketch on Tuesday For my "Father's Day" card, I used Stampin' Up! Trusty Tools Bundle, Trusty Toolbox DSP and Metal Plate 3D Embossing Folder. This is the perfect card for those fathers who love to use tools to create pretty awesome projects or to complete handy work around the house. Don't most guys love to have tools of some sort? I began by using Copper Clay cardstock for my card base with a layer of Trusty Toolbox DSP that was embossed using the Metal Plate 3D Embossing Folder. The sentiment was stamped with Copper Clay ink onto Basic White and cut at an angle on each end and adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals. Most of the tools were fussy cut from the DSP, except for the hammer, which was die cut. Copper Clay Textured Ribbon was wrapped around the card and adhered. The saw blade was adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals and the tools adhered onto it. Rustic Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots were the finishing touches on my card. Inside my card is DSP layered with Basic White. A strip of DSP was adhered along the bottom with a die cut pencil. The sentiment was stamped with Copper Clay ink. DSP was also adhered onto the envelope flap and trimmed. The hammer image was stamped onto the envelope flap as well, with Copper Clay ink.
