Make a wooden plane and fly around the globe — at least, in your imagination! In this kids' craft video, you will learn about floatplanes, which are often used as a means of transportation in Alaska because it's so remote there. Floatplanes are special because they land on water! Then, I will show you how to make a pretend plane from craft sticks (Popsicle sticks) and clothespins. This craft project is ideal for children ages 6 and older with adult supervision. It takes about one hour to complete. For this kids’ activity, you will need small and large Popsicle sticks (craft sticks), wooden dowels, wooden beads, a paintbrush, clothespins, paint, a hot glue gun, and a plastic tray or paper plate. WARNING: Adults should help children with the hot glue gun because the glue is very hot and can burn the skin.
