"The Tonka Cruiser" For years I didn't take these very seriously. A lot of people didn't. It looks like a toy car. One of the first times I saw it was one of these images and I remember thinking "naw, the artist pushed it too far, made it too cartoony." And then it turns out it's actually fairly accurate (ignoring the insane wheels of course). There's an abnormally high concentration of them in a neighbourhood near me where you also normally see things like big Volvos, AMG Mercs and the occasional Jag. Luxury vehicles. My dad has a saying: "Having a lot of money is not the same as having good taste. It does allow you to express your bad taste, however." And I used to think that applied really well to the FJ. But over the last year I've seen more and more of them that's been kitted out with bumpers, LED strips, etc. I've also read several articles praising the FJ's offroad abilities (if not its rear visibility) and I have to admit, in orange or white, with a black grille, black rims and some kit, these look bad ass.
