Meaning that even though they might look similar then glaze always does something different on each piece making it look different. Sometimes just a different spot in the kiln setting next to a different glaze will make a piece look different. All my pieces are fired to Cone 6 @2245 degrees so they are fully vitrified and become stoneware. I only use a stoneware clay. I also try to number each piece on the bottom so I can reference the glaze color and to identify each.
