Carmen Mondragon (1893-1978) 'One of the most beautiful and transgressive women of her time'. Mexican painter, poet and women's activist was born in Tacubaya, Mexico City, Mexico as 'Maria del Carmen Mondragon Valseca' aka 'Nahui Ollin'. Her parents were General Manuel Mondragon (1859-1922) and Mercedes Valseca. She married Manuel Rodriguez Lozano (1896-1971) in 1913, they separated in 1922.
